OOPSLA 2006 - Squeak BOF
Wow! We have had a couple of great days here on OOPSLA in Portland, Oregon. Today is the
final day of the conference and the day before yesterday we had the regular
Squeak BOF on which I decided to take two miniDV tapes, one hour each and
put out on the net ASAP - and sorry, but transferring and encoding takes
some time.
The tapes have now been encoded into two ~700MB XviD movies with great quality IMHO. Even though someone told me I should have used a quantizer etc, sorry, will not redo them right now. :)
The first tape (available as a torrent) contains:
- A presentation of Spoon by Craig Latta.
- A presentation of Sophie by John McIntosh and Tim Rowledge.
- A few smaller quick talks on various subjects by Martin McClure, Yoshiki Ohshima and Ryan Davis.
- A demo of www.badpage.net by Todd Blanchard (slightly cut off, because the tape ran out).
The second (available as a torrent) contains:
- A short talk about source pointers in Squeak (Tim Rowledge)
- A summary of the Squeak Foundation Board activities of lately (Craig Latta and Tim Rowledge)
- A presentation and demonstration of Gjallar by me.
