OOPSLA 2007 - The Seaside BOF
The third BOF I attended at OOPSLA this
year was the Seaside BOF initiated by Roger Whitney who also managed to get
some Gemstone folks "somewhat virtually present" (you will see
what I mean if you watch the movie).
The BOF contains mostly reports and plans from Cincom and Gemstone representatives regarding their Seaside efforts. This is nice stuff to hear about for us Seasiders, unfortunately there were quite a bit of attendees that knew practically nothing about Seaside so in retrospect a quick intro/presentation would possibly have been nice in the beginning.
I also think some of the open discussions around Seaside applicability were slightly misguided - but hey, it happens. I hope my personal frustration with that doesn’t show too much in the video. :)
Anyway, it was a nice BOF and a good initiative and lots of info from the vendors that are active in the Seaside arena so… here it is:
